Thank you for your interest in Sayoc Kali. Sayoc NorCal is the Northern California affiliate of the Sayoc Global, LLC. We are located in Oakland, CA.
Sayoc Kali is an “All Blade, All the Time” filipino martial arts system strongly focused on edged weapons survival and use. Sayoc Kali was founded and created by Pamana Tuhon Christopher C. Sayoc, Sr..
Definition of a blade: Anything that punctures or separates. This could be a knife, or a machete. It could be a small piece of glass or even a toothpick.
We train “All Blade, All the Time” because of the potential during a conflict for a blade to be produced from anywhere, at any time, without notice. Our training methodology is designed to install not only the correct physical attributes to survive a conflict involving edged weapons, but much more importantly, the correct mindset. We do not use terms like “self defense” or “edged weapons defense.” When one is only defensive, they are allowing someone else to determine the course of events and, thus, often the outcome. Drawing on generations of real-world experience passed down through Pamana Tuhon Sayoc’s family and utilizing the concepts in OODA Loop Theory, we develop the correct mindset which is not defensive, but very aggressive. We call someone with this correct mindset the “Feeder.”
Be the Feeder.
